The calves and mamas are in their separate pastures, munching away on the little grass that is left and enjoying big round bales of still green summer hay with a bit of grain in their feeders as dessert. The bulls are enjoying semi-retirement for a few months, having assured us of a good calf crop next spring. The waterers are warm and filled from the well and we are just waiting for the snow to fly. It is the beginning of the quiet season when we plan for the work that comes with spring and remember the blessings of 2007. We wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season.
